Welcome to the USS Braine DD630 Memorial Website

I have moved the ship's memorial website from www.ussbrainedd630.com to Google Blogger at www.ussbrainedd630.blogspot.com. The USS Braine Reunion Association has been paying the cost to have it hosted and to own the domain name ussbrainedd630.com, however, since we no longer can host our own reunions, due to low attendance, we closed our checking account and donated the balance of our funds. In order to keep the ship's webpages on the internet, I moved them to Blogger, which is a free service. Also, Blogger has some features that the previous website design did not have. For example, visitors to the this blog site can comment on any of the content on any of the pages.

If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, you can leave them for me in a comment to this post.

Also, remember that we have two Facebook group pages: USS Braine Reunion Association and USS Braine Sailors. To access and join the Facebook groups you must first have a Facebook account.

  1. Were you on this ship in 1945, or know anyone that was? I'm looking for someone who may have known a veteran aboard. Thank you

    1. Amanda,

There are 13 members of the reunion association who were on board the Braine during some or all of 1945.

Are you a relative of the late John Lund?
